Beginning April 1, 2020, the county sales and use tax will be in effect for Menominee County.
Prior to April 1, 2020, the rate is 5%.
This brings the number of counties that have adopted the 0.5% county tax to 68. Retailers will be notified of the change through My Tax Account and the Wisconsin Tax Bulletin.
All sellers registered to collect Wisconsin sales or use tax must collect Menominee County tax on sales made in Menominee County, regardless of whether the seller is located in Menominee County.
When you report sales or purchases in Menominee County using My Tax Account, the new 5.5% rate will automatically be applied for periods beginning April 1, 2020.
